HAPEVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

A couple was attacked, and a man shot and killed late Tuesday night during what police believe was an armed robbery.

Hapeville police said the man and woman were walking on Dorsey Road just before 10 p.m. when they were approached by two armed men.

Both victims attempted to flee the scene, and the man was shot. The female victim was uninjured. It's unclear what, if anything was stolen from the couple.

The suspects drove away in a white compact car, possibly a Honda, according to police.

Police have not said whether either victim lived on Dorsey Road, only that they were residents of Hapeville.

Investigators have not released any information on the victims or any possible suspects.
